Innovative Local Designer to Global Leader in Evaporation and Crystallization
HPD has delivered evaporation & crystallization expertise since 1921
The orgins of HPD date back to 1921 as part of the Conkey process equipment group that included evaporation systems. After an acquisition by Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I), the HPD (Horton Process Division) name was established and evolved into a separate division that became the chemical process group within CB&I.
This new division quickly applied their expertise into other industries. Over time, the experience gained from successful, commercial installations with a growing capability of project development allowed HPD to expand their presence in a variety of industrial markets.
Growing Capabilties and Worldwide Presence
In 1970, HPD Incorporated was formed and became a private company. As the company began to establish a more global presence, the expertise, growing number of industries served and subsequent growth transformed HPD into a recognized leader in evaporation and crystallization. The capabilities of the company also grew with the establishment of an extensive research facility and resulting increase in the number of complex, design-build projects around the globe.
Today, HPD is recognized as a world leader for innovative process design that use evaporation and crystallization as core technologies. HPD is uniquely present in all major industrial segments with successful installations in these markets on a worldwide basis.
