The FMS4-3 | Small-scale Ceramic Membrane System

This unique platform combines design features and materials of construction to provide ceramic membrane modules with exceptional performance for micofiltration (MF) and ultrafiltration (UF) applications.

Pre-Engineered Ceramic Membrane System

The FMS4-3 System are pre-engineered ceramic membrane filtration systems for several industrial applications

Small-scale System Customized for Each Applications

The CeraMem FMS4-3 system is a unique pre-engineered ceramic membrane solution designed to provide standardization resulting in rapid delivery and cost benefits.

Each unit is supplied as a skidded industrial fed-batch crossflow membrane system and can be customized to fit specific requirements for a variety of industrial applications with smaller flow rates.

Standard Features | FMS4-3 System

The FMS4-3 system is standard equipped with a pre-programmed PLC

  • 200 to 500 micron pre-filter for removing coarse contaminants
  • All required instruments and valves for operation
  • Pre-programmed, factory commissioned NEMA4 electrical cabinet on the rack frame
  • 1,000 gallon PE feed/CIP tank with oil skimmer*
  • 500 gallon PE permeate tank
  • The required feed and circulation pumping systems with local hand/off/auto control
  • Required CIP dosing pumps and automatic back flush system
  • (3) Pre-installed CeraMem full-scale ceramic membrane modules with 2mm or 5mm channels
  • Pre-porgrammed Allen-Bradley® PLC with touch panel PC HMI
  • Small assembled footprint with minimal field assembly required
  • Pre-fabricated inter-skid pipe spools and raised frames require minimal floor preparation
  • Operating temperature of 120° F continuous and up to 140° F for intermittent periods

* - Note: An oil skimmer may not be required for all applications with low or no free oil

Standard Options | FMS4-3 System

The FMS4-3 System utilizes up to (3)full-size, pre-installed CeraMem® ceramic membranes

  • 2mm or 5mm channel sizes. Channel size will depend on influent contaminant loading, influent viscosity, process recovery required, and other criteria
  • Choose 1,2 or 3 CeraMem ceramic membranes to be installed**
  • Switch to PP tanks for higher temperature (150°F) than PE
  • Use single feed and permeate tanks with distributions headers for multiple FMS4-3 membrane skids in parallel. This typically requires a separate CIP tank and some open/close valves
  • Reactor tank with pH and ORP measurement, pH control loop and secondary dosing station as required for precipitation chemistry
  • Influent and/or effluent flow meter for totalizing flows
  • Influent and/or effluent analytical probe to determine removal efficiency or effluent quality, e.g. turbidity probe, or O&G probe
  • Remove on/off level control and isntall PID level control valve on the feed tank
  • Changle PLC type
  • All-metal tanks and piping

** - Note: The FMS4-3 is designed with the appropriate sized pump system for 3 membranes
