HPD's systems crystallize fertilizer products from natural sources (mined or solution mined deposits) or by-product streams from other processes offering system designs that provide high availability and potential operational savings.

HPD's wide range of evaporation and crystallization experience with extensive pilot capabilities allow development and implementation of innovative paths to the world's premier fertilizer products. 

Systems designed and installed by HPD recover potassium from mineral deposits in the arctic-like conditions of Canada, Chile's Atacama Desert and the mineral-rich Dead Sea. HPD has also developed commerical process designs concentrating solution mined carnallite or potash for crystallization of potassium chloride.
