HPD Service Group

The HPD Field Service Group provides a wide variety of on-site service and support

HPD's Field Service Group is dedicated to providing site-located services to existing customers with previously installed systems from HPD or even new customers with competitors equipment. This unique suite of services presents plants and mills with the opportunity to have expert evaluation of their evaporation and crystallization systems.

The Field Service Group has a strong relationship with the extensive list of clients that continue to utilize the wide variety of services provided by HPD.

Start-up

HPD's Field Service Group provides start-up assistance for new equipment installations. This service ranges from supervisory inspection of equipment-only installations to complete turnkey systems involving pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing. 

Training

HPD Equipment training

The Group can conduct classroom and hands-on field training of the customer's operations staff as part of the start-up package. Classroom training utilizes detailed manuals, presentations and handouts along with other training aids to teach operating teams about the theory and practical operation of HPD installed equipment.

Hands-on field training involves internal review of vessel construction, pipe routing, equipment identification with start-up and operating procedures. A similar training regimen is also available for existing equipment.

Troubleshooting & Process Evaluation

HPD provides on-site troubleshooting services

Our Field Service provides a service to study and evaluate new or existing equipment (including non-HPD systems) to improve or optimize system performance. This may include improvements in steam economy, capacity or general stability of the system.

HPD works closely with plant / mill staff on-site to collect and evaluate operating data, review logsheets, and discuss issues experienced in the facility. Analytical and pilot support from HPD's Research and Development Center assists in this process as needed.

Inspection

HPD also provides internal inspection services during outages on an annual or as-needed basis. The field service representatives are trained to identify developing issues with evaporation and crystallization equipment to minimize their impact on system performance and safety.

The observations and recommendations concerning optimizing system performance are provided in a formal report for customer review and record keeping.
